Pension Sakhis to deliver pension security door-to-door, strengthen rural India

The government has launched the Pension Sakhis initiative to extend pension security to rural communities across India. Under this programme, trained women, known as Pension Sakhis, will visit households to deliver pension-related services and awareness.

The scheme aims to strengthen rural India by ensuring broader access to pension schemes and related financial security measures. The Pension Sakhis will serve as intermediaries between beneficiaries and pension administrators, facilitating enrollment and information dissemination at the grassroots level.
