Over 18,000 villages declared model villages under PM scheme; 785 hostels completed

The PM-AJAY scheme has achieved a milestone with 18,093 villages across the country declared as Adarsh Grams, or model villages. The initiative aims to develop rural infrastructure and improve living standards in targeted communities.
As part of the same scheme, 785 student hostels have been completed, providing accommodation facilities for students in rural and underserved areas. The construction of these hostels is intended to facilitate access to education by reducing barriers related to housing.
The scheme represents government efforts to accelerate rural development and strengthen educational infrastructure in villages, focusing on sustainable community progress and improved access to basic amenities.
