Soon after landing, PM Modi was welcomed with vibrant cultural performances by local artists, who showcased the rich traditions and heritage of Seychelles through music and dance. Adding an Indian touch to the celebrations, a group of folk artists from Kutch in Gujarat performed traditional dances in colourful attire. Their energetic performance, accompanied by the beats of dhols and other traditional instruments, drew applause from those present and added to the festive atmosphere.
Members of the Indian diaspora also gathered to welcome the Prime Minister. As the celebrations continued, chants of "Modi, Modi" echoed across the venue, creating an enthusiastic atmosphere for the visiting leader.
Sharing his appreciation on X, Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the Indian community in Seychelles for keeping India's cultural traditions alive abroad. He wrote, "Amazing cultural connect!
