Opinion: Positive thinking and gratitude can reshape your life

The quality of our inner life—our thoughts, feelings, and mental habits—often receives little deliberate attention despite determining the overall quality of everything else. Small thoughts repeated consistently eventually become the foundation of our personality and are difficult to change once established.
Practices like morning gratitude, peaceful thoughts before work, conscious choices to avoid negative thinking, and moments of silence can transform one's mindset. Two people in the same circumstances can have entirely different inner lives depending on whether they consistently feed fear and resentment or gratitude and courage.
While we cannot control everything that happens to us, we can become conscious of what we allow to happen within us. When thinking changes, feelings follow. When feelings change, actions change. And when actions change, the entire quality of life begins to transform.
