Congress candidate Milan Pradhan launches Nandigram bypoll campaign after jail release

Congress candidate Milan Pradhan has started campaigning for the Nandigram bypoll after his release from judicial custody. Pradhan was arrested on September 18 in connection with multiple murder cases dating back to 2007—four cases registered at Nandigram police station and two additional cases from neighbouring Khejuri.

He had been held in judicial remand since his arrest. The bypoll campaign marks his entry into the electoral fray amid ongoing legal proceedings related to the decade-old cases.
