Punjab brothers ditch stubble burning for sustainable 3-crop model on 105 acres

Two brothers from Barnala district in Punjab have successfully implemented a three-crop rotation model across 105 acres without resorting to stubble burning for the past six years. The sustainable farming approach demonstrates an alternative to the conventional practice that contributes to air pollution across northern India each season.
Their model integrates diverse crops within a planned rotation cycle, reducing the need to burn crop residue while maintaining soil health and productivity. The initiative highlights how farmers can adopt environmentally conscious methods without compromising agricultural viability.
