Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann Denies Being In Viral Video, Rejects Akal Takht Verdict

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Tuesday rejected the Akal Takht Jathedar's pronouncement declaring him "Guru Dokhi" and "Panth Virodhi" in connection with a viral video. Mann asserted he does not feature in the clip and said the person shown bears no resemblance to him.

Mann accused those holding religious offices of engaging in false propaganda at the behest of political masters to defame him. He said religion was being exploited and stated that attempts to tarnish his image through such tactics were wrong. The CM maintained his respect for Sri Akal Takht Sahib while questioning the politically motivated nature of the decisions being issued.
