Rahul Gandhi demands Punjab Finance Minister's resignation over Sangrur death case

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has demanded that Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann seek the immediate resignation of Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema over the death of Guljar Singh in Sangrur. Gandhi accused the AAP government of being anti-Dalit and called for an independent, impartial investigation.

In a post on social media, Gandhi alleged that the family was denied the right to perform traditional last rites, sharing statements from Singh's mother, wife and family members. He stated that anything less than the minister's resignation and a fair probe would be "mere formality, not justice."

Gandhi also warned Punjab's people, particularly Dalits, to be alert about alleged misuse of power by the AAP administration in the state.
