Rahul Gandhi takes dig at Congress leaders who joined BJP, says they now regret move

Congress Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi met with workers from Congress Seva Dal, Youth Congress, and NSUI over tea to discuss party strategy. The meeting covered the fight against BJP, opposition unity, and the issue of party leaders who have switched to other parties.
During the discussion, Gandhi took a jab at leaders who quit Congress to join BJP, suggesting many now regret their move as the political landscape shifts. When Congress President Mallikarjunn Kharge joked that these former leaders were once Gandhi's "best friends," Gandhi responded with a smile: "There are no such friends in politics."
The meeting also focused on opposition coordination and strategy against BJP. Gandhi referenced BSP chief Mayawati, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, and Sharad Pawar, noting that defeating BJP requires these leaders to work alongside Congress. He also remarked that BJP avoids direct attacks on Mayawati, suggesting this reflects the need for better coordination among opposition parties.
