Rahul Gandhi Pushes Congress MPs to Lead Street Protests

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has instructed the party to mandate participation of MPs in street protests, according to party insiders. He asked party general secretary K.C. Venugopal to issue directives requiring all MPs to join public demonstrations and seek explanations from those who abstain.
Gandhi reportedly also wanted Venugopal to issue show-cause notices to MPs without valid reasons for their absence from these protest programmes. The directive reflects Gandhi's push to revamp Congress's protest strategy and increase grassroots mobilization.
The move underscores the opposition party's effort to strengthen its street-level activism and ensure greater participation from its parliamentary members in public demonstrations.
