Rajiv Shukla questions Delhi SIR process, says even Advani must prove voter status

Delhi's Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process targeting around 33 lakh voters has sparked political controversy. Notices are being issued to voters based on discrepancies in their information or failure to map with old records. The lists include former Deputy Prime Minister L.K. Advani and ex-Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia.
Congress leader Rajiv Shukla has questioned the Election Commission's procedure on social media. He stated that even senior leaders like Advani must now prove their voter status, calling the process humiliating. Shukla also demanded that Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar be issued notice, alleging that the drive has disenfranchised crores of voters ahead of elections.
