India Will Not Tolerate Nuclear Blackmail, Says Rajnath Singh on Operation Sindoor

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said on Thursday that Operation Sindoor demonstrated India's resolve not to tolerate nuclear blackmail from Pakistan. He stated that any hostile action originating from Pakistani soil would now be treated as an act of war and would invite a befitting response from India.
Speaking at News18 DEFCON 2026, Singh asserted that terrorism and talks cannot coexist, nor can terrorism and trade. He referenced the Pahalgam attack in April last year, in which 26 people were killed, as an instance where Pakistan crossed acceptable boundaries.
The minister's remarks underscore India's hardened stance on cross-border terrorism and its readiness to respond decisively to any future hostile activities emanating from Pakistani territory.
