Rajnath Singh calls for boosting export of indigenous warships as domestic content exceeds 75%

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has called for enhancing exports of indigenous warships, noting that domestic content in their manufacturing has surpassed 75%. He made the remarks while addressing the second edition of the Indian Navy's biannual Commanders' Conference 2026, which commenced on Tuesday.
Singh's push reflects India's broader strategy to leverage its growing naval shipbuilding capabilities in the global defence market, with increased indigenous content strengthening the case for international competitiveness.
