Rajnath Singh slams INDIA bloc protest against CEC as 'conspiracy to seize power'

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday criticised the INDIA bloc's protest against the Chief Election Commissioner, characterising it as a "conspiracy to seize power by anarchy."

Singh alleged that the Opposition was attempting to destabilise the nation by mobilising youth as instruments in what he termed "politics of disorder." The remarks came amid escalating tensions between the ruling coalition and opposition parties over election administration.

The INDIA bloc has been staging demonstrations against the CEC over concerns related to electoral conduct and institutional independence. Singh's statement represents the government's counter-offensive against these protests, framing Opposition actions as threats to constitutional order rather than legitimate democratic dissent.
