Rakesh Bedi Dismisses Claims That Dhurandhar Script Came From PMO

Veteran actor Rakesh Bedi addressed claims at the Amrit Ratna 2026 summit in New Delhi that the blockbuster Dhurandhar franchise script was written or influenced by the Prime Minister's Office. Bedi, who played Indian agent Jameel Jamali in the films, dismissed the speculation with humour, questioning who in the PMO could have written certain lines from the movie.
Bedi revealed that several humorous moments in the spy thriller were his own suggestions. He noted that director Aditya Dhar was initially hesitant about adding comic relief to the otherwise intense spy story, but the actor convinced him that the tension required moments of levity.
