RBI launches surveys to assess inflation expectations and consumer confidence

The Reserve Bank of India has launched three surveys to collect data on inflation expectations and consumer confidence. The Inflation Expectations Survey of Households will assess how households view price movements, while separate Urban and Rural Consumer Confidence Surveys will gauge public sentiment on economic conditions.
The surveys will provide critical inputs for the RBI's monetary policy decisions. By capturing inflation expectations and consumer confidence across different regions, the central bank aims to better understand economic sentiment and tailor its policy responses accordingly.
