RBI sets H2 WMA limit for government at Rs 50,000 crore
The Reserve Bank of India has set the Ways and Means Advances (WMA) limit for the second half of 2026-27 at Rs 50,000 crore. The measure is designed to help the central government manage temporary financial mismatches.
Under the framework, the RBI may issue new market loans when 75 percent of the WMA limit is utilised. The central bank has retained flexibility to adjust the WMA limit if conditions change.
