NCPI ready to accept merger of rebel TMC MPs; numbers may go up to 22: Kakoli Dastidar

Rebel Trinamool Congress MPs are set to merge with the National Congress Party (India), according to Kakoli Dastidar. The NCPI has expressed willingness to accept the defecting lawmakers, who plan to work under the NDA umbrella alongside Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah.

The number of rebel TMC members joining NCPI could potentially reach 22, signaling a significant political realignment in West Bengal. Dastidar indicated that acceptance for the merger has already been communicated to the group.
