Dr Umar un Nabi detonated IED himself in Red Fort blast, revived Al-Qaeda-linked terror module: NIA chargesheet

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) chargesheet in the Red Fort blast case has revealed that Dr Umar un Nabi, who was inside the i20 car that exploded, himself detonated the improvised explosive device (IED). The blast on November 10, 2025, killed over a dozen people. DNA analysis of biological material recovered from the blast site confirmed Nabi's presence in the vehicle.
According to the NIA's 7,500-page chargesheet, Nabi was a doctor by profession and worked as an assistant professor at Al Falah University in Faridabad. The agency described him as the mastermind of the explosion and found he had revived the Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind (AGuH) terror module, an Al-Qaeda-linked offshoot, and served as its operational in-charge.
The chargesheet reveals the blast was a well-planned conspiracy. Since early 2022, Nabi had been working to revive the dormant AGuH module and build a terrorist network. He had been plotting the Red Fort attack for at least two years and had procured weapons and ammunition for terrorist activities.
