Retired BCCI scorers seek pension and medical cover after decades of service

Seventeen retired BCCI panel scorers have submitted an appeal seeking a monthly pension of ₹15,000, medical insurance coverage, and an ex-gratia payment for their years of service.
The former scorers, who worked on the BCCI's official panel for extended periods, cited their decades of contribution to cricket administration and match documentation. They argue that formal retirement benefits and healthcare support are essential given their age and economic circumstances.
The appeal underscores gaps in welfare provisions for long-serving BCCI employees who operated outside the main organizational structure.
