RSS needs no registration as it receives no government funds: Mohan Bhagwat

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat has dismissed calls for transparency in the organisation's functioning as politically driven. He stated that the RSS does not receive government funds and therefore has no requirement for registration.

Bhagwat's remarks come after Congress leader Priyank Kharge wrote to the RSS chief on June 13, requesting disclosure of the organisation's registration status, funding sources, income, expenditure, and assets. Kharge's letter had sought details about the RSS's financial operations and administrative structure.
