RTI activist questions large idle funds held by PM CARES

An RTI activist has questioned why the PM CARES Fund is maintaining large sums of money without utilising them. The fund, established in March 2020, operates as a public charitable trust chaired by the Prime Minister and is funded entirely through voluntary contributions.
The fund was created to support relief efforts during public health emergencies and other disasters. The activist's inquiry raises questions about the fund's deployment of resources and the reasons behind the accumulation of idle capital.
