Russia to accept 70,000 Indian skilled workers this year: Government

External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar informed a parliamentary panel that Russia has agreed to absorb approximately 70,000 Indian skilled workers during the current year. The announcement was made while chairing discussions focused on India-Russia bilateral relations.

Jaishankar also briefed panel members on India's position regarding the Ukraine conflict and outlined New Delhi's recent diplomatic initiatives aimed at facilitating a peaceful resolution to the ongoing crisis.
