BCCI President Mithun Manhas and batting legend Sachin Tendulkar congratulated the Indian women's cricket team after it won a second successive gold medal at the Asian Games with a 147-run victory over Sri Lanka in the final on Tuesday.

Manhas hailed the team for securing India's first gold at the ongoing Games, while Tendulkar praised the collective effort after a dominant batting and bowling display. Tendulkar highlighted the contributions of different players, noting Shafali and Smriti's 99-run opening partnership, Richa Ghosh's late blitz that took India's total to 216, and strong bowling performances from Shafali, Deepti, Shreyanka and Shree Charani.

India successfully defended their title from the previous Asian Games edition in Hangzhou.
