Saim Ayub's Test Comeback Ends in Disappointment With Two Ducks Against England

Pakistan opener Saim Ayub's return to Test cricket proved disappointing as he registered two ducks against England in the third Test at Edgbaston. Ayub was dismissed for a duck off the first ball in Pakistan's opening innings and failed to score in the second innings as well.
The contrasting fortunes came just days after Ayub had impressed in the Caribbean Premier League, scoring an explosive 102 off 58 balls for Jamaica Kingsmen. That century, studded with six fours and eight sixes, highlighted his attacking prowess before his international recall.
Ayub's struggles extend beyond the Birmingham Test. He had a difficult 2026 T20 World Cup campaign and registered four ducks during the 2025 Asia Cup, marking a concerning pattern of low scores across recent international assignments.
