Sangam-era brick structure discovered in Kollidam riverbed for water management

A brick structure discovered in the Kollidam riverbed in Tamil Nadu has been traced to the Sangam period and was originally built for water management purposes, according to the state archaeology department. The structure became partially visible after water levels in the river receded last month.
