Sarvam AI raises $234 million at $1.5 billion valuation

Sarvam AI, an Indian artificial intelligence startup, has raised $234 million in funding, achieving a valuation of $1.5 billion. The company aims to compete with AI leaders from China and the United States.

The firm has already developed two homegrown AI models that are trained in 22 languages and capable of operating through voice commands. These models represent Sarvam AI's push to develop domestically-created artificial intelligence technology.
