SC scheduled and then cancelled meeting with One Nation, One Election JPC: Chaudhary

PP Chaudhary, chief of the parliamentary panel on One Nation, One Election, clarified details surrounding a cancelled meeting with Supreme Court judges. He stated that the Supreme Court had initially scheduled the meeting for October 6 before deciding to cancel it.

Chaudhary emphasized that such interactions between parliamentary committees and the judiciary have historical precedent. However, former Union minister Kapil Sibal has questioned the constitutionality of the proposed meeting, arguing it could compromise the separation of powers between the executive, legislature, and judiciary.
