Supreme Court declines plea against SCBA resolution backing Wangchuk hunger strike

The Supreme Court has declined a plea challenging a resolution passed by the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) in support of Sonam Wangchuk's hunger strike. The court held that any grievance against the resolution can be best addressed through the democratic process under the association's own rules.
Wangchuk, an engineer and education reformer from Ladakh, undertook a hunger strike to press demands related to regional concerns. The SCBA's resolution backing his cause had drawn a legal challenge, which the bench chose not to entertain.
