Supreme Court grants bail to former Rajasthan Minister in Jal Jeevan Mission case

The Supreme Court has granted bail to Mukesh Pathak, a former Rajasthan Minister, in connection with a Jal Jeevan Mission case. The order sets aside an earlier decision by the Rajasthan High Court, which had denied him regular bail on August 13.
The bench's decision to overturn the High Court's bail denial marks a significant development in the case. Pathak was among the accused in the matter related to the Jal Jeevan Mission, a central government scheme aimed at providing tap water connections to rural households.
The Supreme Court's intervention follows Pathak's petition challenging the High Court's refusal to grant bail. With this order, Pathak is now entitled to be released on bail pending further proceedings in the case.
