Supreme Court directs SIT to submit status report on Ram Temple donation theft case
The Supreme Court has directed the Special Investigation Team to submit a status report within two weeks concerning the alleged theft of offerings at the Ayodhya Ram Temple. The direction came while the court was hearing petitions that sought a court-monitored investigation into the matter.
The Uttar Pradesh government will add a forensic auditor to the SIT, which currently comprises three IPS officers. The court's order follows public interest pleas demanding greater oversight of the investigation.
