Supreme Court summons Arunachal officials over CBI probe obstruction

The Supreme Court has summoned senior Arunachal Pradesh officials to explain their alleged non-cooperation with a Central Bureau of Investigation probe. The case centres on accusations that Chief Minister Pema Khandu favoured firms connected to his family members in the allocation of government contracts over the past decade.
The court's directive seeks clarity on the state administration's stance regarding the ongoing CBI investigation. The move signals judicial intervention in a matter involving high-level officials and potential conflicts of interest in contract awards.
