Supreme Court to hear Tamil Nadu's plea on Cauvery water release on August 13

The Supreme Court will hear Tamil Nadu's plea on Thursday seeking directions to Karnataka to comply with the Cauvery Water Management Authority's decision. The CWMA had ordered the release of 3,500 cusecs of water daily for 15 days from the Kabini and Krishna Raja Sagara reservoirs.

The hearing comes as part of the long-running dispute over Cauvery waters between Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, managed through the CWMA framework established by the apex court.
