Supreme Court upholds Kerala High Court order on Kashi Math execution proceedings

The Supreme Court has upheld a Kerala High Court order from August 2026 permitting Kashi Matadhipati Samyamindra Tirtha to proceed with execution of recovery orders. The case involves the seizure of gold, silver ornaments and religious paraphernalia belonging to Kashi Math Samsthan.
The execution proceedings were directed against Raghavendra Tirtha in connection with the disputed assets of the ancient math institution. The Kerala High Court's decision had allowed the continuation of these recovery efforts, which the Supreme Court has now confirmed.
