Scindia Rebukes Guna Collector for Sitting in Car During Public Hearing

Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia publicly rebuked the collector of Guna, Kishore Kanyal, during a public hearing on Friday for not stepping out of his vehicle to attend to citizens' grievances. A video of the incident shows Scindia telling the collector and superintendent of police Hitika Vasal not to remain in their car. "It should not be necessary to call you from your cars," Scindia said. The collector was absent from the hearing while family members of Mohan Barel presented their complaints.
Scindia directed both the collector and SP to investigate the case and ensure justice. The minister also expressed displeasure on Thursday when the collector failed to note down a farmer's complaints during the same tour. Additionally, during the Guna visit, Scindia reacted sharply to a villager who said residents would not vote unless the administration constructed a promised road, advising him to make requests rather than threats.
