CJI member mocks Rajasthan govt over pre-visit school repairs
A member of the Central Judges Panel expressed frustration with the Rajasthan government's practice of preparing schools before inspection visits. Sourav Das remarked that the state should inform the panel where it wants them to visit instead of undertaking repairs in advance.
The criticism follows allegations that Rajasthan Police was monitoring movement at the residence of a panel member last month, hours after the team faced confrontation during a school inspection campaign. The incident highlighted tensions between the inspection team and state authorities.
