Shai Hope Takes Dig At Shubman Gill After West Indies' Historic T20 Chase

West Indies captain Shai Hope responded with a cheeky social media post after his team secured a six-wicket victory over India in the second T20I in Ranchi on October 9. The exchange was rooted in Gill's earlier Instagram caption following India's ODI win, where the Indian batter posted "406? Cool" after scoring an unbeaten 223 in a chase of 406.

Hope mirrored Gill's understated approach by posting "250? Cool" after West Indies chased down the target of 250 in just 18.3 overs with nine balls remaining. The West Indies skipper backed his social media quip with a match-winning unbeaten 102 off 45 balls, featuring six fours and nine sixes at a strike rate of 226.67.

Sherfane Rutherford provided crucial support with 84 off 37 deliveries. The two batsmen built a 120-run partnership for the fourth wicket after West Indies had been reduced to 58/3, steering their team to a memorable victory in the ongoing India-West Indies contest.
