Shubman Gill to return for Punjab in Ranji Trophy clash against Chhattisgarh

Shubman Gill is poised to make his return to domestic cricket action, playing for Punjab in the 2026-27 Ranji Trophy season. The talented batsman will feature in the second-round match against Chhattisgarh, which begins on October 18.

Gill had missed Punjab's opening fixture against Assam in the tournament, with Uday Saharan leading the side in that match. His inclusion in the upcoming clash marks his comeback to the domestic circuit.

The return comes as recognition of Gill's recent form and international performances. He was recently named ICC Men's Player of the Month for the fifth time, highlighting his consistent excellence at the global level.
