Kapil Sibal Questions Mohan Bhagwat's Silence on Violence, Political Developments

Rajya Sabha MP and former Union Minister Kapil Sibal on Tuesday criticised RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, questioning his silence on incidents of violence and political developments. In a post on social media, Sibal listed concerns including the lynching of Dalits and Muslims, attacks on Christians, and the toppling of elected governments by the BJP.
Sibal's remarks followed Bhagwat's dismissal of demands by Karnataka Minister Priyank Kharge that the RSS formally register and disclose its finances and organisational details. Bhagwat rejected the call as "just politics," stating the Sangh functions openly and has never concealed its activities. He noted that registration is not mandatory for organisations like the RSS and that governments have long been aware of its existence.
