Protesting Is Now a Crime, Sibal Slams Government

Congress leader Kapil Sibal has attacked the government over what he describes as restrictions on the right to protest. Sibal questioned why protest sites are being cancelled and demonstrators forced to relocate to designated venues like Ramlila Maidan.
"Why should I have to go to Ramlila Maidan when I had a protest site, and why should you have cancelled it?" Sibal asked, highlighting what he views as arbitrary curbs on public dissent.
The opposition leader's remarks reflect growing concerns among critics about space for street-level protest and democratic expression under current administration policies.
