Pakistani prisoner dies by suicide in Jammu jail

Shahid Imran, a 36-year-old Pakistani undertrial prisoner, was found unconscious in his jail cell early Sunday morning at the high-security central jail in Jammu. Imran, a resident of Sargooda district in Punjab, Pakistan, was rushed to GMCH (Government Medical College and Hospital) where doctors declared him brought dead.

Authorities have initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.
