Sukhbir Singh Badal attacked with sharp weapon at Nanded gurdwara

Shiromani Akali Dal chief Sukhbir Singh Badal was attacked near Mata Sahib Gurdwara in Nanded on Thursday. The assailant used a sharp-edged weapon, causing an injury to Badal's hand. A police personnel from his security detail, Inspector Santosh Kendre, was also injured while intervening.

Badal was rushed to a private hospital in Nanded for treatment. Video footage showed him entering the hospital with a cloth tied around his hand, appearing calm despite the incident. The identity and motive of the attacker are still being ascertained by Nanded Police, who have detained one alleged assailant.
