Supreme Court directs bar council to stay out of law students' discipline

The Supreme Court has directed the bar council to refrain from intervening in the discipline of law students, asserting that educational institutions are the appropriate bodies to handle such matters.
The Court observed that institutions must take action against students in accordance with established norms and procedures. The remarks came as the Court addressed the scope and limits of the bar council's authority over law students enrolled in educational programmes.
