Supreme Court rejects Centre's appeals, orders compliance on disability pensions for ex-soldiers

The Supreme Court has rejected 270 appeals filed by the Centre challenging disability pension awards to ex-soldiers. The court directed the government to comply with existing judgments granting such pensions and granted a four-month timeline for compliance.
The bench criticized the Centre's repeated challenges to disability pension decisions, emphasizing the obligation to honour court orders benefiting disabled veterans. The order underscores the judiciary's stance on protecting welfare entitlements for armed forces personnel.
