Supreme Court refuses to hear Chitra Ramkrishna's plea in co-location scam case

The Supreme Court has refused to entertain a plea by Chitra Ramkrishna challenging a High Court order in the National Stock Exchange co-location scam case.
Senior advocate Balbir Singh, representing Ms. Ramkrishna, argued that the NSE is a private company and therefore it cannot be said that the petitioner was discharging a public duty. The argument was made in the context of the legal proceedings surrounding the co-location facility controversy at the exchange.
The rejection of the plea marks another setback in the legal challenge by the former NSE chief executive in connection with the case.
