Supreme Court to decide on plea to recall CEC law order: CJI

Chief Justice of India Surya Kant said the Supreme Court will shortly decide on a plea seeking recall of its order that referred the challenge to the CEC appointment law to a Constitution bench.

The CJI stated the Court would examine the petition and take a decision on it. The matter pertains to the constitutional validity of provisions governing the appointment of the Chief Election Commissioner.
