Tamil Nadu CM Vijay Helps Opposition DMK Legislator During Assembly Walkout

During a tense session in the Tamil Nadu Assembly on Monday, Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay extended support to DMK legislator Durai Chandrasekhar when he could not stand and leave with other opposition lawmakers. The incident occurred after the Speaker denied DMK legislators a chance to respond to the CM's speech, prompting them to walk out in protest.
When Vijay noticed Chandrasekhar remained seated due to health constraints, the CM rose from his seat, approached him, and helped him stand with physical assistance. The legislator thanked Vijay and then joined his colleagues outside the assembly.
Other ministers and leaders in the house applauded the gesture by tapping their desks. The incident, captured on video, has gone viral on social media, drawing praise for the cross-party courtesy.
