Tamil Nadu CM Vijay's London investment drive draws Opposition flak

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay's recent investment promotion visit to London has drawn sharp criticism from Opposition parties, who have dismissed it as a 'pleasure tour' rather than an official economic mission.
The ruling TVK party has strongly defended the trip, pointing to announced investment commitments of around ₹15,300 crore that are expected to generate thousands of jobs. The party framed the visit as a significant step toward attracting global capital to the state.
The controversy reflects ongoing tensions between the state government and Opposition camps over the CM's international engagements and their perceived benefits to Tamil Nadu's economy.
