Tamil Nadu's fuel consumption plateaus amid efficiency gains

Tamil Nadu's consumption of petrol and diesel has reached a point of stagnation, according to a White Paper released by the state. The document attributes this development to improving fuel efficiency across vehicles, growing adoption of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), and increasing uptake of electric vehicles. Shifts in freight traffic patterns have also contributed to the slowdown in fuel consumption growth.
