Tamil Nadu government vows to oppose Mullaperiyar dam proposal

The Governor said in his address to the assembly that the Tamil Nadu government is committed to opposing any new proposal for the Mullaperiyar dam and will take necessary steps to prevent the Mekedatu project.

The Governor also announced plans to improve administration of the state's historic temples through structural reforms in the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments (HR&CE) Department.
